COUNTBENCH GUIDE
Printing count reports and tickets.
CountBench creates fixed PDF documents in your browser. Print them through your normal PDF viewer and printer, at actual size.
The documents
- A4 report: the count's scope and revision, counted rows, missing and extra entries, differences once revealed and a summary of exceptions. Long reports repeat their headings and show page totals.
- A4 worksheet: an optional list of locations and items with blank spaces for hand counting. In a blind count it leaves out expected quantities. A completed worksheet is not imported back automatically.
- Count tickets: one 100 × 150 mm ticket per location, with the location, a readable count and revision reference, the time recorded, coverage and exception counts. Tickets are marked Draft, Incomplete or Unplanned where that applies.
These are fixed documents, not a label designer. For permanent location and bin cards, use FactoryCards.
Print at actual size
Open the PDF in your usual viewer. Choose the matching paper size in the viewer and printer driver, select actual size or 100% and turn off fit or shrink. For tickets, use 100 × 150 mm label stock and check the orientation. If the output is the wrong size or clipped, check the printer with PrintBench before changing anything else.
What a printed ticket proves
A count ticket records what CountBench held when it was generated. It does not prove that a particular person checked the area, and printing it does not confirm anything about the count. Later corrections do not change a PDF you have already downloaded: generate a new one.
Source credit
PDF footers carry a small CountBench credit. There is no advertising, tracking link or watermark on any document or file.
